2018 Hot Rod Dirt Drags

This year I talked my dad into attending the 2018 Hot Rod Dirt Drags in Monte Vista, CO with me. We headed out from home mid morning Thursday with some stops to make along the way for work. After the work day was done we found ourselves 6 hours from Monte Vista, we pointed the F250 west and headed for the mountains.

Friday morning we went out to the Best Western Movie Manor to get our registration and start the weekend hanging out with friends. The Speedster wasn't running quite right so we ended up finding a couple of Model A experts Larry and Rick who helped us get it going. A few hours went by and the car was running again. Dad and John Binger were selected along with 12 or so other sets of cars to do the Night Drags on Friday night. These are some 1st/2nd gear pulls to just put on a show with all of the rest of the cars parked along the track using their headlights to light the track.

Here are some photos from Friday, there will be more to come all week long!
