2018 Grand National Roadster Show

To start off the 2018 Grand National Roadster Show coverage on royboyproductions.com I'm going to give you a bit of a travel log of the trip. The 69th Annual Grand National Roadster Show was held at the LA County Fairgrounds in Pomona, CA on January 26-28, 2018.

On Friday after the trip to Jimmy Shine's Workshop and then the Early Ford Store in San Dimas it was time to head to the show. From about noon on Friday until around 6pm I walked the show shooting photos and hanging with friends here and there. Then it was time to grab dinner with the Lonely Knights and then I headed over to Lucky's Hot Rods in Burbank for the Open House.

Even though I'd spent a bit of time pushing cars around on Wednesday night as part of the Rolling Bones display in Building 6, I had to go back for more. A few more cars had been added to the mix and the Hot Rod Hill Climb/Hot Rod Dirt Drags display was set up and the room was full of people walking amongst the cars and checking out their every detail.

Later Friday evening I went out to a great Mexican dinner with some of the Lonely Knights before making the 40 or so mile trek over to Lucky's Hot Rods for the party. It was nice to wait until a little later to let the hellacious traffic die down. The next morning it was back to the show, on Saturday they let in more cars to park between the buildings, this year I heard that they were expecting 700 or so additional cars, I'll be honest, I didn't make it through them all!

The final day of the 2018 Grand National Roadster Show coverage is a bit smaller, honestly I thought I had way more photos! Oh well, I hope that you enjoyed the photos and little commentaries along the way of my trip last week.

Enjoy the adventure!
